Historical Highlights #058

Welcome to this week’s historical highlights. Have you ever wanted to…

…follow the Oregon Trail?

…stay in the former home of a famous artist?

…bid on an extremely rare photograph of Abraham Lincoln?

…follow rare books on Instagram?

…view an exhibition of illuminated manuscripts?

…read a YA novel about escaped slaves during the American Revolution?

This is really neat: Britain has released postage stamps based on six Agatha Christie novels. “Mystery lovers can use UV light, body heat, or a magnifying glass to search for clues from each book that are embedded into the stamps using microtext and heat-sensitive and UV inks.”
