Hello! I’m glad you stopped by to learn a little about my life.
I grew up in a village in Southwestern Ontario, where my favourite moments were spent biking through the woods to the public library (housed in a school portable), floating down the river in a Styrofoam boat, making homemade gifts that no one actually wanted, and curating a natural history museum in our unused barn.
I earned a BA in English and History from Huron University College, followed by an MLIS specializing in archives from Western University. My two work terms – at the University of Guelph Archives and Library and Archives Canada – truly expanded my understanding of historical documents and archival research.
Today I live in Calgary with my husband and three young daughters, who keep busy painting each other and throwing food on the floor whenever I have my nose in a book (I’m working on that!).
I’m thankful for my upbringing, my family, the churches I’ve been part of, and grace and beauty in a broken world. Soli Deo Gloria.
