Historical Highlights 168

I’m behind on my historical highlights post this week because I was out last night at a performance of Wingfield Unbound. It was my third time seeing a live show of Wingfield Farm, but Andrew’s first and we had a great time (even though we had to drive 50 km each way in steady snow!). The shows are also available on DVD. Highly recommended if you’re looking for some good, clean, rural Canadian humour.

Now on to some recommended articles…

Speaking of women, read about “Mary Katharine Goddard, the Woman who Signed the Declaration of Independence.”

Reminiscing about Canada’s most famous racehorse

And about pink peppercorns

Finally, “How Poetry Soothed a Nation in Mourning for John F. Kennedy”
