6 Things I Learned in June

Here are six things I learned in June from the mundane to the important.

  1. I don’t like Rooster brand rice vermicelli. (Note to self: next time don’t buy the cheapest noodles.)

2. I can make my own carbonated beverage (with a little help from my friends). Come over and try my kombucha sometime!

3. You can’t just inflate a pool with a tire inflator/compressor. I thought you could buy an adapter, but ended up needing a different compressor for high volume items.

4. With fans in the windows at night our house cools off quite nicely even during a heat wave.

5. The easing of COVID restrictions is harder on me than I expected. I want to follow the government’s rules (even though I find them irksome), but I also want to agree with everyone I talk to… yet all these people have different opinions on which guidelines to follow or disregard.

6. I need to learn more about racism from a Christian perspective. (I plan to listen to Voddie Baucham’s talks; other recommendations appreciated.)

What did you learn in June?
