3 Things I Learned in December

I must have learned more than three things this month, but here are the ones I can articulate for now.

  1. Nigeria is the 7th most populous country in the world and Lagos is the biggest city in Africa (population: 21 million). (I learned this and much more from the Strong Sense of Place podcast, which I recommend for anyone interested in books that take you to other parts of the world.)

2. “O Holy Night” began as a French poem titled “Minuit, chrétiens” in 1843.

3. All the files on my computer were not actually backed up on Dropbox. When my laptop died I logged onto Dropbox on another computer and discovered that my files had not been updated since 2017. I really hope I can get them back (especially my homeschooling records from the past year and a half)!

What did you learn in December?

First, Happy New Year to you and your beautiful family, Margaret! Second ly, I am so sorry about your having your computer files temporarily displaced! I am going to be praying for you that you get them back. Those homeschool records are so time-consuming to prepare and you sure don’t want to lose any! Thirdly, congratulations on being able to homeschool and care for a new baby! Y’all look so content!!!
