8 Things I Learned in April

1. Jello-O is the official state food of Utah.

2. Outside North America Bartlett pears are called Williams pears.

3. Moonbows (lunar rainbows) are rare but they do occur!

4. The Easter Bunny originated in Germany.

5. A merism is a figure of speech in which a pair of contrasting words is used to represent a whole (e.g. high and low, alpha and omega, heavens and earth).

6. Hereford Cathedral has a chained library, a medieval map of the world, a copy of the Magna Carta, and an escape room.

7. You can remove wax from fabric or carpet by laying a wet (old) towel over it and ironing with low heat. (Yes, I had a candle catastrophe recently…)

8. Finally, what do you think of the 3:6 rule for making friends as an adult?

What did you learn in April?

      M.E. Bond says:
